How long have you been a part of F4M & what got you started?
I’ve been doing Stroller Strides for about 5months!! I was taking an infant massage instructor class with a fellow F4M participant Krista Kahman and she told me all about stroller strides and how great the FIT4MOM community was! I showed up the next day and have been going to classes 2-3days a week since.

Harrison 2yrs 3mths he is quite the dare devil and is constantly jumping off things!!
Who is your spouse? How long have you been together?
My Wife Emily and I have been together for 9yrs! She is a social worker for Portland Public Schools.
Before joining our village and before having children, what kept you busy?
Work.work.work...and maybe a little wine!
What are 3 words a good friend would use to describe you?
Compassionate, determined and smart
Why are you passionate about FIT4MOM?
I believe that parenthood can be a lonely place and the FIT4MOM village brings us together and reminds us that we’re not alone and there really are other parents that understand the craziness that goes on with parenthood! The fitness part of FIT4MOM is important as this helps us maintain our mind, body and spirit!
Tell us how Motherhood changed you?
I’m more in tune with my animal instincts, which may sound weird. Instead of reading a book I usually ask myself how I would do something as another mammal in the wild! Felines are a great example, they nurse, co-sleep, protect their young they play and clean and bond with their babies. It’s really quit beautiful and very similar to how we take care of our babes, especially if you practice attachment parenting.

FIT4MOM Cedar Mill gives you something you don’t know you’re missing until you join the village. It gives community, strength and empowerment as a mother! These are all very important things to have when your raising children and don’t want to lose your mind!!
